Charlotte Gerrish, founding partner of Gerrish Legal and Perrine Aptel, our Legal Intern were published by the IAPP Privacy Perspectives, reinforcing Gerrish Legal's status as specialist practitioners in the field of GDPR, personal data protection and privacy.
The publication discusses the political implications of a French court decision on data subject rights, as the recent EU legislation causes confusion between the protection of privacy rights at a national level, and the requirement to comply with international laws and practices which require data to be shared, for example under the the U.S Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act or as part of Anglo-Saxon litigation disclosure and discovery rules.
